Sailing yachts are €28 per foot LOA and motor yachts €26, with a minimum fee of €900. A 40 ft sailing yacht is from €1,120, a 50 ft motor yacht from €1,300 and a 60 ft sailing yacht from €1,680. The fee includes one hour of sea trial attendance and, for sailing yachts, a deck-level rigging inspection. All fees are quoted exclusive of IVA, and a firm quotation is confirmed in writing before the survey.

Included: the inspection itself, sea trial attendance of one hour, a deck-level rigging inspection on sailing yachts, travel within Mallorca and the written report. Charged separately where the vessel or the circumstances call for them: an aloft rigging inspection (€25 per foot, minimum €800), an extended or standalone sea trial (€17 per foot, minimum €545), laboratory engine oil analysis (€120 per engine) and a re-inspection of remedial works (€10 per foot, minimum €320). Haul-out, lifting and yard charges are paid to the yard.

Length is the best single predictor of the time a survey takes: more hull to sound and read, more systems, more through-hulls, more rig. A per-foot rate keeps the price proportionate from a modest cruiser to a 65-footer without a separate quotation for each. Below a certain size the minimum fee applies, because a small yacht still needs a full day to inspect properly. Above 65 ft, and for technically complex vessels, the survey is quoted individually.

Yes — multihulls, steel and wooden vessels carry a surcharge of €4 per foot LOA, reflecting the additional inspection time. A catamaran has two hulls, a bridgedeck and crossbeams to sound and read, and usually two of everything mechanical. A metal hull is assessed for plating condition and corrosion, a timber hull for fastenings, planking and the joints between them — different work from a GRP hull, and slower.

Within Mallorca, yes. Beyond the island travel is charged at one euro per kilometre, and flights, ferries, hotels and similar costs are agreed with you beforehand rather than added afterwards. Some marinas, yards and facilities charge access, site or parking fees of their own, and those are separate from the survey fee.

As soon as the offer is accepted. The limiting factor is usually the haul-out: the yard's lift has to be booked, and the hull needs time ashore to dry before moisture readings mean anything — how long depends on the weather. Book the lift and the survey together, and ask the yard to keep the boat ashore until the inspection there is finished.

Reports are typically issued within two to four working days. An express report within 24 hours is available subject to scheduling, at a 25% surcharge — worth having when a contract deadline or a lift slot leaves no room.

Without. All fees are quoted exclusive of IVA, and IVA is applied where it is due, depending on your status and where you are based. The quotation states it explicitly so there is no surprise on the invoice.

A remote listing review is €95 per hour. An accompanied viewing is €10 per foot LOA with a minimum of €320, which covers attendance on site and travel within Mallorca. It is priced so that finding out whether a boat is worth a full survey is an easy decision.

A deck-level rigging inspection is €16 per foot LOA with a minimum of €520; an aloft inspection is €25 per foot with a minimum of €800. A standalone sea trial with a written report is €17 per foot with a minimum of €545 — from €680 for a 40 ft sailing yacht. In a full pre-purchase survey the deck-level inspection and one hour of sea trial are already included; the standalone prices apply to a vessel you already own, or where a survey has been done without them.
